Ohio Legislative Black
Caucus Endorses Marc Dann for
Ohio
Attorney General
Ohio's Top Law
Enforcement Officer Must Fight for the Rights
of All People
Columbus – The Ohio Legislative
Black Caucus (OLBC) has endorsed State Senator
Marc Dann (D-Liberty
Township)
for Ohio Attorney General. OLBC is
comprised of the eighteen African-American
legislators who serve in the Ohio General
Assembly.
Fourteen serve in the House of
Representatives and four serve in the
Senate.
OLBC members hold minority leadership
positions in both the House and
Senate.
"Surely Marc Dann will
bring to the Office of Attorney General
passion, strong professional credentials and an
unyielding commitment to protecting civil
rights," said Representative Barbara Sykes
(D-Akron) and OLBC President.
"Ohio's
citizens also expect their top law enforcement
officer to proactively fight crime and
corruption. The current administration
appears to care more about special interest
groups and campaign contributors rather than
fighting for the rights of all people."
"OLBC members
appreciate the tenacious leadership of Marc
Dann in working to uncover political scandals
that have cost Ohio
taxpayers and businesses hundreds of millions
of dollars," said Representative Sykes. "The
price of corruption and irresponsible
leadership has limited this state's ability to
improve its educational system and to make sure
that all people have access to affordable
healthcare and good-paying jobs. It is
time to turn Ohio
around.
OLBC encourages all voters to support
Marc Dann for Ohio Attorney General."
