The sunrise service will draw upon Ohio's rich and diverse faith communities to begin Inauguration day. Clergy, children and a cathedral choir will blend scripture readings, songs and hymns to usher in this new chapter in Ohio's history.

celebration of diversity.
The program will
highlight Dr. King's achievements through
gospel music, dance,
soloists and photos,

dialogues on his life and work.

Join Ted Strickland and Lee Fisher on the West Lawn of the Ohio Statehouse as they are sworn in as Ohio's next Governor and Lieutenant Governor. Following the ceremony, Ted and Lee, along with Frances and Peggy, will greet the public in the Statehouse Atrium.

Tonight, new and old friends unite to
honor Ohio’s rich history and celebrate a new
beginning in our state. The inaugural ball will
be an evening of music and dancing to ring in
the Strickland-Fisher administration.
